I very nearly bought one of these cubes today

A Cube Poleton race 2014
http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Cube-Peloton-Race-Compact-2014-Road-Bike_66780.htm#Tab_ProdDetailInfoReviews

to my untrained eye it looks pretty good value for money but then a friend told me about these......

http://www.merlincycles.com/sensa-trentino-sl-custom-road-bike-59015.html

comes in at £100 cheaper with 105, looks nicer than the cube imo but i would have to buy blind.

Does anyone have any experience with Sensa bikes?

Any others i should be looking at around the 1k mark of a similar spec to these?

Thanks.

Giant Defy 1 often wins best £1K bike award.

Absolutely gorgeous (Cube Peloton Race) in white/red/blue (comes in black/red/white too) obviously.

Fantastic spec for the money & is FULL Shimano 105 (none of this lower spec chainset/brakes & cassette nonsense).

This is my +1 C2W bike when spring/summer arrives, (too much to pay for just now).

Buy from leisurelakesbikes & get 5% off if you join the V.I.P club at a cost of £30, this is offset with a good Muc Off bike care kit (worth at least £30) included as V.I.P gift.

This also gives you % off all purchases in the year.

Add this to C2W tax & N.I contribution savings & you save a fair amount.

The only other recommendation I have is for the Giant Defy 1 (not full 105 though).

Some Boardmans get good reviews at the around £1k mark & then there is Planet X or Ribble for a carbon alternative too.

Sure you will find just the right bike foe you with a £1k budget.

Good luck.

If you spec that Sensa with full 105 compact, plus the Aksium wheels that the Cube has, you get to £952 give or take. Not much in it.
