Haven't clicked on the link but pretty sure that wll be another story about world naked bike ride pics.
It's a very old and non story - some journo had an easy time writing that.
Personally if folks go riding around naked in public, under whatever banner, I find it hard to figure how they can be much surprised or "outraged" at some folks taking pics. The human body has a multiplicity of uses of course - some to do with turning pedals, others erotic.
(declaration - I have been in london once or twice when they have cycled past - have known some folks who went - have never taken any pics)

Reminds me of last summer when I was on a road near Ladybower Reservoir, bottom of Snake Pass. I saw a cyclist coming towards me and thought "That woman hasn't got a top on." Sure enough she was stark naked apart from shoes. Ten yards behind her male partner was equally naked.
The disturbing thing about this was he chose to rest his manhood on the saddle. Not a pleasant sight!!!

If somebody uploads a video to Youtube with naked people in it, somebody else is going to copy it to xhamster/porntube or somewhere similar.
I've done the Cardiff WNBR every year it has run bar one, and I just assume that means there will be photos/videos on those sites which have me in them (though most copied to porn sites will be concentrating on the women). Just something you have to accept if you are doing something naked that is so public.
I don't really understand why the organiser of the Brighton one was surprised, or "horrified" as the Sun says.

I've always avoided the helmet debate
and I didn't notice if they rode clipless or not.A bit of both, really. Sensationalist at the very least! Add 'Naked' to a headline and it will interest people. I posted this as I know at least one of the CC members goes on this ride.

many folks these days love to be outraged.
some "outraged" folks are also attention seekers, including when they went on the original event.
Even with clothes on, SOME supposedly political folk are in the attention seeking game.
not saying that applies to you.

closest I have ever come to this, and a long way off, was a male cyclist riding topless on a nice day round Bowland. No outrage from me of course. Don't know why he was doing it? Liked the feel of the air on him? Showing off his physique? Can't help but feel that it would be somewhat uncomfortable/not nice - sweat pooling etc. Increased risk of burning. Issues with wind-chill.

My wife was with me so I exercised absolute discretion........the couple were closer to my age than the first flush of youth.

I was once on a london lead ride - out west we were cycling near the Thames when folk mentioned that we had just gone past a couple involved in some sort of naked sexual activity with photography. I later discovered that this was some sort of dogging spot, but this was broad daylight on a sunday afternoon. Have no idea if this was some sort of amateur DIY project or professional. I must have been pretty much the only person in the largish group who had seen nothing - must have been enjoying the general scenery and nature. We were a mixed group - everyone seemed to find it interesting/bit of a ride highlight.My wife was with me so I exercised absolute discretion........the couple were closer to my age than the first flush of youth.

What do you mean, you were checking out the bikes, of course. I surprised you noticed the lack of clothes.
I for one am not going near a bike without said body parts tucked nicely out of the way of a saddle. One miss, oof !

Daft question, but aren't these 'rides' all over youtube anyway ? The local papers always link to them when the 'rides' are on. Certainly the Manchester Evening News does. I get a bit stick of 'were you there 'Fossy', as it starts outside my workplace !
