Anyone remember the red triangle in the corner of the screen when Channel 4 started? It was supposed to act as a warning of impending sex and violence, but instead acted as an indicator to any curious 13 year old that there was something good on telly.
I was that soldier, happy days.

The television companies are probably worried that they'll get sued by people that, allegedly, got traumatised by a fictitious event on a fictional story line.

I once thought that the Aussie chap in Skippy the kangaroo could actually understand what Skippy was saying. It's worried me ever since

Maybe I have a potential claim.. No win, no fee ^_^

Skippy was female!

The clicking sounds made by Skippy are vocal sound effects, rather than the natural vocalisations of a kangaroo, with chocolate, chewing gum or grass and in some cases, an elastic band around the lower jaw, used to make Skippy move her mouth.

Fun facts - Skippy was banned in Sweden because the authorities felt it was unhealthy for a young boy to spend so much time with an animal.

For the close up shots of Skippy's paws, souvenier kangaroo bottle openers were used.

There were nine kangaroos used. Because the film set was next to a main road, most of the kangaroos ended up being killed by traffic when they wandered off.

Growing up in rough Northern factories sometimes you’d get some serious stick. It’s classed as affectionate abuse around here.

On the other hand, the warnings can be quite useful (although not for soap operas, they're just wrong!). If I'm about to watch a film and it doesn't have at least a couple of warnings about violence and adult content I know it's not going to be worth watching
