I've just been lucky enough to get a pair of Sidi Hydro boots for my birthday.

First time commute in them this morning, and despite it lashing it down, and lots of standing water I arrived at work with lovely warm, dry feet.

Admittedly bloody expensive, but I really hate cold wet feet, and I'll probably be wearing them for every ride between now and spring.

What stops the water running down your legs and into the tops?

Top of the boot fastens fairly snugly round the ankle withn a velcro band, My longs go on the outside of this and the water seems not to get in. I'm sure that there will bo some leakage on long very wet rides, but so fat so good. They're also lovely and warm and so-far at leastthe gore tex upper seems to allow sweat to evaporate much more that the neoprene overshoes I've been using for the last few winters.
