Ive been out today with over socks on . To be honest unless my feet start to boil up I will wear over socks all year as they keep my shoes nice and new and its aero baby yeah

I find the Lidl socks fine for an hours ride and then they start to get uncomfortable.

After getting a nasty big-toe chilblain in the 2010 winter, my overshoes get used longer now as much more sensitive to the cold

Toe covers are just enough to keep the chill off and small enough to stick in a jersey pocket if your too warm.

THis last week i have been wearing the aldi commuter overshoes which although not very stylish are waterproof and stay in my panniers all year round thne cycling home without them.

I get that in my nether regions. Perhaps overshoes might help there.....
