I'm a bit surprised at Col's "wait in line" comment. I'd say that's a tad hypocritical at best, given how submissively he claims to ride. By his own logic, how can he dare to take space from a car driver on the road/get in other drivers' way?

I ride safely bent, when im in line im secondary, give way when it warrants it and dont get grief, some others seem to get grief all the time with their style of riding, like iv said before, carry on,i choose to give way more than some, after all its all about being safe isnt it?

Well yes, to your or my logic. To Col though, that would be a dangerous and bad cyclist, because Col would be frustrating the driver behind him. Far better for Col to pull left submissively and stay out of the way of his betters.

How do you come to this conclusion?I think a bad cyclist is someone who knowingly does something that can annoy others, taking inapropriate primary does this most of the time its seems.

Doh! I'm not arguing with what you think, I'm sure we both agree that your example is absolutely fine and correct riding.

Instead I'm applying Col's rather odd form of logic to this sort of situation. It's Col who says that this sort of riding causes problems, and I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of him saying he "waits in the queue". Can't really see you waiting in the queue on your bike, right?

Why is it hypocrisy to not filter?even though i didnt say that i never filter, just most of the time i dont,i pick when its safe to,when you filter and have contact with or obstuct others does cause problems,im surprised you think otherwise, well im not;) You have some strange ideas what bad cycling is:smile:
