In other words, energy measures the capability of an object or system to do work on another system or object.

Yeah, so Drago has the capability to do some work. He lifts his weight using his big ol' weightlifting arms what make the ladies swoon. He can either do this quickly, using high power, or slowly, using low power. He has given the weight the same amount of energy either way. The weight now has the capability to do some work, like drive a pulley system, or just give Drago a headache because he forgot to secure it and it fell on his head. Whatever happens, P=E/t

You're right though, they are a lovely thing to see wending their way along the roads, a different style nd pace of life & probably a lot more serene than most others are for it. I'd like to spend my time on a canal barge for a similar lifestyle.
