I've had them a few times and I have to wonder what all the fuss is about.
Don't get me wrong, maybe I was just not eating them with the right things, but really, I could take or leave them. 🤷♂️

Simple, no messing, black pepper and a little dash of lemon juice.
If they don't smell right, they aren't right.
Nice dry white wine, perfect.
But porridge really cannot bear, even the smell of it cooking.

Philistine! Mussels are one of the best foods out there!! IF done right of course. Same with squid but that is rarely done well!!

I really like them. The ones you get round here come mostly from Maldon in Essex, also tried them at Whitstable, W coast of Scotland, Brittany, and restaurants in Paris and the USA. Not had a bad one yet.
