This came in to the charity last week. I'm guessing it's mid-1980s, and I know it's a fairly low end model, but the paintwork is immaculate! I've put it up for £100, but it'll probably go for less😥

Fairly basic Router but looks tidy, hubs should be date stamped but yes mid 80's

Too tiny for me and those brake levers are in completely the wrong place. What tubing, if memory serves it'll be 18-23 'hi carbon' steel

The bars just need rotating and yes 18-23 tubing.
Looks like 21-22" to me.

That's the stuff. I know it's nothing special, but to me it represents the perfect "bike as cheap and cheerful practical transportation" machine. And the paint is in remarkably good condition.

Ideal commuter or general hack but it would also be an ideal ride might pay to swap the rims for alloy ones
