@ColinJ Yes. I have the factor 5 trait. That's one of the reasons that anything with my legs, especially that leg, goes straight to a healthcare professional. It seems to be getting better, the pain hasn't moved to above the knee and I'm not experiencing any chest pains or difficulty breathing so all's good. Anyway, the DVT clinic is very close if I need to go back. :smile:

Hi Andy ... I'm glad that this time seems to be less serious than a DVT, but I remember reading that clots in superficial veins can sometimes spread and cause DVTs so make sure that you remain vigilant!

I would also be concerned that this is at least the second time that you have had clotting problems. When I clotted the second time, my consultant made a strong recommendation for me to go on anticoagulation for life to avoid it happening again. Do you have any idea why this is happening to you?
