Just a quick question.
We have tradesmen in at work. Why do painters always wear white overalls?
Just something I'm curious about.

Farmers wear brown... hides all the stains when they are out in the fields, miles from a toilet.

It dates back to a time when a chef had a pair of trousers he no longer wore, as it happens both his son's were half his size.

His wife a lovely old dear who was good with a sewing machine decided to make the boys a pair each out of the old man's trousers.

Just happens one of the son's was a undertaker and the other played bowls.

And Lowell George, he wore them a lot too. Don't think he was a painter and decorator as well as all-round musical genius.
