Pairing a bluetooth speaker.

I have tried everything I can think of to pair my phone to this bluetooth speaker.

Is it possible that my android phone is just not compatible with the speaker?

My Android phone has paired with multiple speakers and headphones just fine. Are there instructions to follow?

Can your phone discover the device ?
I presume the speaker is battery powered. Are they flat?
Bluetooth is a universal standard so should work unless your phone is using an older protocol but should still work.

First question, as per above, is the speaker showing up in the list of blue tooth devices "visible" to the phone?

If you turn the speaker onto bluetooth pairing mode, normally there will be some audible indication that it has entered pairing mode. If that doesn't happen and/or the speaker doesn't show up in the available bluetooth devices list on your phone or any other, then it's most likely a faulty speaker.

Mine appeared not to be working. Turned out it had paired to my phone before my laptop could pair to it.

This was my first thought as well, even if your phone's Bluetooth is switched on it might only be discoverable by already paired devices unless you change that setting.

Thanks for all the suggestions. The problem is now solved by my nephew. 😁
