Had a fair discussion about this at work today. Anyone on here have savoury pancakes. Some poeple in the office have meat fillings etc xx(

Got to be sweet for me. Ideally freshly squeezed OJ and sugar

I will be tossing tonight for FT and I. I am a traditionalist, lemon and sugar for me but FT likes all sorts of things, jam, marshmallows and cream, lemon curd, honey, syrup and chocolate spread.

I have never had a savoury pancake so I am not sure if I would like them.

As for lent, I am going to try and give up swearing.....

There will be tossing aplenty in the 6 household.
Savoury and sweet for us. I might manage to grab a mouthful in between doling them out to the starving hoards.

I was at center parcs a few years ago and we went to the pancake house. Everyone had something you would expect, sugary loaded stuff but I prefer my savoury and orderd the chilli pancakes. The deep savoury smell put them off a bit and I have been constantly reminded to never do it again. I had an omelette the next time.

Not even a Findus crispy one ?

They were savoury goodness for kids in the 70's & 80's.

Back in the late 80's, early 90's my dad used to have savoury fish pancakes as a starter on the menu in his restaurant.
Sounds disgusting but they were bloody lovely.

I've been invited to No1 daughters house for pancakes this evening.
On the promise that I both prepare and cook them.

I usually get left until last when it comes to eating them.. Little do they know that the first few out of the pan are never the best one's. It takes quite a few to get the pan to proper tossing temperature :okay:

I'm going for 7". I don't have the strength in my wrists to toss a 12"er!

We will be having savoury and sweet pancakes tonight. The savoury pancakes will be a little like beef cannelloni, but with pancakes instead of pasta. There will be a choice of lemon and sugar, honey, jam or chocolate spread for the sweet.
