Pangbourne, anyone live there or know it well?

I am probably visiting in a few weeks time as there is something there I want to go to, but wondered what its like, anything to make note of, any good places to eat, I do like fish and chips especially, but a nice pub lunch wouldn't go amiss either! any parking recommendations?

Any info would be most welcome.
