Panorama shots on digital bridge camera..

I wonder if anyone knows lots about digital cameras ?

My Fujifilm Finepix S4240 takes 14MP piccies but also has this rather nifty panoramic photo option. It knits three shots together to make a lovely wide piccy. The only problem is that when I have downloaded the shots off the SD card, they come out only as 1mb in size. Normal piccies are nearer 4MB.

I've looked over all the settings - perhaps downloading piccies using the Fuji software might resolve this ? Would anyone have any other ideas ? Thanks !
