I nearly got squished by one of the above on the way home this evening. He was moving from the university Sedgewick site to Newnham college entrance as he'd gone wrong, a staggered junction if you will, of about 10 yds. It's just lucky that I was watching and able to take evasive action!
By the time I was level with the front of his car ( a 13 plate Merc) I had unclipped my right foot, and I swung my boot in anger, I was an inch off the car, but he really didn't like it. We stopped, I was furious and not sure how I didn't punch his lights out ( his fare was there, a witness who would have seen me hit him, but not the incident)
The driver was calling me all the names under the sun for swinging my boot, but I tried to point out that almost being flattened by a taxi doesn't bring out my fluffy side.
Anyway, I got home and rang their office. The manager couldn't have been more sympathetic and understanding and apparently he'll be getting a disciplinary on Monday.
I was expecting to be told to foxtrot oscar, but Linda in the office of Panther taxis was a nice lady.
