Hey, nice topic! A very long time age as I used to deliver not only the Manchester Evening News but also the Manchester Evening Chronicle around the Heaton Norris and Heaton Moor areas of Stockport for a Mr Harrison. Bike - a Triumph Palm Beach 3 speed Sturmey Archer. Very heavy paper bag though, so quite dangerous. Pay 12/6d. a week (about 72 pence).
