I was out of the country for the Olympic Road Race so I don't want to miss the Paralympics. Does anybody fancy a gentle ride out to Brands Hatch from London on either the 6th, 7th or 8th of September? (There are also time trials on the 5th but I don't find TTs a good spectator sport)

On the 6th, there are 4 races, 2 starting around 10:30 and 2 at 14:30
On the 7th, there are 6 races, 2 around 10:30, 2 around 14:30 and 2 around 16:30
On the 8th, there are 4 races, 2 around 10:30, 1 at 14:30 and a ''Mixed team relay'' (?) at 17:45
More details here

I'm up for any of the dates but obviously more people will be free on Saturday 8. If you're interested, please say which days you'd be interested in. I may go to more than one but thought it best to find out if anyone fancied the 8th before thinking of the optional extra dates. Being lazy, I'll probably leave from Greenwich, and there and back will be around 45 miles. Nothing to stop other more energetic cyclists having a bit of ride around on the downs in the intervals though.

I may come all to this being as I'm only 15 miles from Brands Hatch and I'm having to miss the FNRttC the night before. Is a ticket required do you know?

You only need tickets (£10 per session - though I think I saw that they were sold out for the Saturday anyway) for viewing in certain areas, the rest is free to view. I was thinking of going up via Horton Kirby - School Lane - Three Gates Road and arriving at the NE part of the road route. It might not be the best place to watch but I'm not sure about access from the A20 because of the road closures.

This is the route - it's not big but it takes a while to load.
