Paralympics opening

Only watched 2 mins so far (catching up 1/2 hour behind) and I'm already unimpressed with Jon Snow and the commentator. And that was meant to represent the Big Bang?

All I can think is that this gives every appearance of being the embarrassment which many thought the main Olympics opener would be.

Watching it in real time so I won't give away to much, but I was surprised with Prof Stephen Hawking being there (rocking it out to Rihanna)

The Big Bang Theory bit was a bit unusual to say the least, as was the whole science aspect.

Don't know why they chose him, he's gonna be really boring as a sports presenter. There must be better people for the job.

That guy off the Cycle Show would do a better job than the snowman is doing, and that's saying something.

He's not exactly dynamic is he? Newsreader yes, dynamic excitement building sports presenter, God no!

He keeps asking his co-presenters questions about the sports, but just keeps quoting geopolitical stuff.

Good grief, listening now as I type, the presenters are bloody awful.

Newton's Apple made me think of an It's a Knockoutprop but the arty stuff was moving over all. Hawking was good. o brave new world that has such people in it!

Watching, getting annoyed by ad breaks and absolutely refusing to listen to the ads .

My friend had texted me to say he had an apple... they had to all bite at the same time?

You would never have thought that at a paralympian opening ceremony, they would use the words 'Ladies and Gentlemen, please get your apples ready'

Very disappointed with the ads. Surely Channel 4 could have managed without them for the opening ceremony?
