Does anyone have a Paramo fuera smock and a velez/velez light?

Got some money for Xmas and treated myself to a fuera smock, fuera jacket and challenger top

I nixwaxed the smock last night and wore it on a ride today with just a craft base layer (keep u warm or cool jobs) and was just fine. It was raining and stayed dry.

Is the velez or velez light for colder weather or for more of a pouring / downpour type of day?

The Velez light is a cold Autumn, Winter jacket and too hot for much else!

Even with the vents open any fast cycling will work up a sweat very quickly

I struggle with Paramo as cycling kit. I hike/climb and use it but it is way hot even at walking pace. When wet it struggles to shift body moisture too.

I have a Cuzco jacket; several years old and re-proofed many times. It really is a superb bit of kit, excellent for walking, but I think it too bulky for most of my cycling. It's okay for touring though and I used it for several consecutive days in Scotland one August when it chucked it down! I felt it handled the conditions very well indeed.

Excellent, thanks for the replies. I will keep my cash for something else.
I was surprised by how good a job the fuera did yesterday when temp was around 9 degrees and quite windy.
