This was my friends bike in Mansfield which he has owned from new.
Has some cycling history in his blood.
I also have his schoolboy Paramount as well.

His relation was Jack Gundel( great grand father) Mansfield colliery welfare 1/4 mile track, might be under Johanne. Bought his bikes from Balls cycles Bullwell and rode for the Raleigh team.

What sort of era is this machine? The lugwork looks quite delicate, i.e. thin material rather than chunky. I'm assuming the frame is 531? I never cease to be surprised how much old lugged steel machinery there is still lurking out there.

No labels, nice and light, spear point lugs, heart cut outs. I think by the weight and style it will be 531. Not sure whether I strip clean and rebuild or do I go complete and refurb the paint and decals. Questions, questions, questions ?
