Hi everyone, I'd like to tap into your well travelled brains once again and ask is there someone out there who has gotten out of Paris just by travelling alongside of the Seine. It is my first time abroad with a bike let alone a touring bike and I feel it would be a lot safer for me to avoid as much traffic as I can until I am more confident. I am joining the canal at Claye-Souilly near Charles de Gaulle Airport and I have read that this will take me into Paris itself but I would like to end up near Corbeill- Essones, just south of Paris. I looked on Google Earth and as far as I can make out it seems as some sort of path goes along side of the river to Fountainebleau. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Here's a link to an interactive map of the Paris region with all the cycle paths marked for you to have a play with.

There's no "direct" path from CdG to Corbeil, but you could cobble together something relatively cycle friendly, though if it were me I'd take the train! http://www.transilien.com/web/site/accueil/guide-du-voyageur/info-pratiques/comment-faire

Thanks for that, Ajay. Just what I was hoping for. I sorted a route out and I am really pleased.
Thanks for the train link too but I really fancy cycling some part of Paris even though the traffic will probably be a headache, I would like to say I have done it.
Thanks again.
