I won't be using them again.

I put an order for some tights on October the 6th, having not received tights or heard anything decided to take a look at their site and my order.
Says customer canceled which I did not, and no email to let me know or anything.

Whats a bunch of rude barstewards!!!!!:angry::wacko::angry::smile::angry::smile::angry::angry::angry::angry:

Did you call them & ask them to look into what went wrong? Get their side of the story before venting your spleen on here.

i can tell what happened, the product is no longer available.

I put an order in, heard nothing from them, looked on their site and order says customer canceled and the product no longer listed.
I think I can make a conclusion from that. They certainly needed to email me at least whatever went wrong.

So imo sod them!!!

So not even a phone call or mail to them to find out why, just your own conclusions. Do you think you should have found out the full story before venting on a forum?

My experience a couple of years ago was completely the opposite. I ordered some Open Pave tyres (for the Tour of Flanders sportive). They didn't have them in stock so received an email telling me so. They asked me to call/email them to arrange alternative. I called someone up to discuss what I would like to do. In the event went for another set of tyres from them which arrived a day or two later.

And usually cheaper than Wiggle.

I dont want to hear lame excuses.
"oh, there was an error in the system" "we forgot" "the mail server isnt working" "our online ordering system has bugs" bla bla bla.

No bother with them here either.

I once made an order & keyed my card details wrongly - they phoned me within an hour or so to check them with me, and put the order in that night's first class so it wouldn't be delayed.

No that's fair enough Tharg, no one likes to be fobbed off. But you didn't even give them a chance to do that. Could have been a simple & genuine error on their part.

Have you experienced bad service from them previously?

first and last order.
I could understand if they sent the wrong thing or it was damaged or something, but its clear what happened, the order was canceled the day after i ordered it and no email, no phone call, plus it says user canceled and the product is no longer there. There's plenty of info there to get me upset.
I know how websites and online ordering/shops work, someone there went on and set my order to canceled, then removed the product. Someone (a real person) was bothered to do all this but not to make sure i knew about it.

Well I am sorry it upsets you but I do think it's fair play to get their side of the story before venting on a public forum. Then if you are not satisfied - certainly vent away...

there is only one thing they can provide me with when I ask why i wasn't informed and whatever it is, its an excuse that im not interested in.
I vented on here and others have said they had no issues so anyone searching them out will see the other side of them too im sure.

I think they're brilliant.

I ordered the wrong parts by mistake and they were so taken by my excuse, that when I sent the stuff back for exchange, they sent me some additional freebies for making them laugh.

It's amazing what some human contact can do.

That's the trick. They're not Chain Reaction or Wiggle and never will be, but they are people and (judging from the appearance of their catalogue) they've probably been doing mail order since long before the internet was around.

And I get almost as much entertainment from guessing what packaging they'll use on any given order as I do from wondering whether Wiggle have sent me Haribo again

I like them too. Cheap, but have always delivered within a few days. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Corus, im glad it's not just me who get strange packaging from Wiggle. It's almost become an office joke when i come back down with a huge box, the open it up to find a pair of brake pads and some haribos. On the plus side, i can build carboard forts in the office to hide from the execs.

Tollers

Just adding to this I ordered a new light from the online shop on Sunday 11pm ish, its arrived (11:45am Tuesday), dispatched 4pm Monday. Maybe they've sorted out their service from the OP date and also after reading this I avoided the Ebay site but thumbs up to Parkers of Bolton. from me.

Oops, I never realised Parkers of Bolton and Parker International were two separate companies, all my previous kudos goes to Parkers of Bolton.
