Any top tips for places to (or not to) park our car for a week in the summer ? The official car park is about £210. We are not "frequent flyers"!

Have you checked Purple Parking which is off site?

i've used Maple meet and greet and they were fine.

if that's the best price you can do one of the airport parking comparison sites it might be worth trying the airport hotels for a deal on night before flights stay plus parking.

Also if you're not in a hurry to get parking booked, check the official airport website every week or so, because they quite often have unannounced flash sales. I've gone on to Heathrow's for example, found it a bit too pricey, then gone back a few days later to find it £50-£60 lower. Then another few days pass and the long stay is back up to its original price, but one of the other options (Meet and Greet for example) has come down considerably - maybe even to match the long stay price somehow.

I use purple parking at Heathrow about 10-15mins on their buses which are every 15-20mins but seem to be the cheapest and the cars are kept onsite. Also if looking to stay overnight before or after your flight the building next to them is a premier inn so I few times iv dropped my car off then walked next door to sleep
