I don't have any problem with that. It's not as satisfying as the thousands and thousands of illegally parked motorists that vehicle must have picked up though. That makes me happy.

And... I couldn't help noticing the quote from the local authorities:

Did he really say ".. will no longer be working in Westminster going forward"?

Beyond the obvious comedy scenario of him driving his van in reverse, I find myself wondering what the phrase adds to the meaning of the sentence. It adds nothing. This sort of sloppy English is beneath the contempt of anyone with a brain. I blame Bullshit Bingo.

And... why did he have to say "particular driver of the vehicle"?

What does the word 'particular' add to the soup?

This was nothing to do with parking, safety of vulnerable road users or public mindedness, simply pursuing an agenda over these vans.

Seem to remember something last year about a seaside town that'd got into that situatione. Either they'd run out of cash or they'd taken responsibility off tthe cops and not got their own enforcement in, in time

Cycle lanes are often parked in Leicester. I've even seen a police car parked up in one on the wrong side of the road no less. It makes me wonder if traffic wardens are ticketing transgressors at all. I really do need to get with the times and get a phone witha camera on it to record the worst offenders. I would especially loved to have had one on me for the police car.

Shouldn't the record of the illegal parking need to be a video as you can't tell whether a vehicle is moving or stationery in a photograph.... unless you can show the car/ vehicle without anyone in the driver's seat.
