I wore my biblongs and was just right temperature wise. It felt more like late October than July.

And there was me thinking from the title of the thread you'd run into Michael Parkinson!

I set myself a time target for half my commute in the country lanes and beat it by 18 whole seconds.

This meant I was ok in shorts, having got pretty warm, though did pass 2 other cyclists both in longs.

I'm just a big softie, but I have this thing about arriving at work with the same number of fingers and toes as when I set out. Frostbite is an ever present threat here in Derby. Can't be too careful.

We Scots think nothing of having to defrost the family jewels by dangling them in a steaming mug of tea when we get to work in winter.

And then drinking the tea.

Your own or someone else's tea?

Last night went for our regular Sunday night constitutionalk twixt 8 and 10 ish and wore my winter jersey and bib-shorts. It felt like one of those last rides of the season where you could still manage with shorts... but only just. It's July FFS, what's going on?
