What sport do you think a beginner would have most chance of qualifying for in next years games? Obviously, the begginer would be reasonably fit, switched on and co-ordinated. So, from a standing start, what would be their best hope?

I reckon archery, I used to do some in a club in Fareham. I did OK, second in a couple of biggish events after only 6 months experience.

I suppose I am asking which is the least skillful sport in the games aren't I?

Running...but the easiest would be the sport with the largest team and something the UK isn't competitive in

Handball, although this was one of the sports the government were looking to recruit 16 year olds to play a few years ago so you may have missed the boat. Archery is pretty popular with clubs up and down the country and at universities. Unless you're a prodigy it'd be mighty hard to get in that way in such a short time. Modern pentathlon looks fun, using a horse from a pool of unknown horses. Not that I can ride a horse.

Volleyball has always seemed to be an easy one to get into if you give it enough time and effort, having only played once of twice at school though, I may be wrong.
