Passing right turning cars at lights

So, a car is turning right at the lights and is waiting for a gap so it can turn. The car behind which intends to go straight on would have to move left to get past it. However, bikes are passing in the space where the car would have to move through to pass the right-turning car. There is space for all but everyone woyd have to adjust to be safe.

What should the bikes do and what should the car waiting do?

Depending on the space take a primary or a strong secondary on the bike, force the driver to think. If you feel there's plenty of room for everyone once the driver has adjusted their trajectory/ speed, let them through.

I don't have a particular junction but something I've encountered as both driver and cyclist. Are cyclists undertaking or is the car encroaching on the cyclists' path?

If I was absolutely certain that the driver had seen me and would manoeuvre safely, I'd move over to the left and let them pull in.

If I didn't think they'd seen me and / or I thought that wouldn't manoeuvre with me in mind, I'd adopt a strong primary and try to make eye contact.

How you tell which driver is which is the difficult bit...err on the side of caution!

I'd wonder how the driver got into that situation in the first place.
If it's a 2 lane road, like the approach to Meadowhall from the M1, then cars in the right lane should just wait for right-turning traffic to clear. Hard luck to them for being in a lane with that possibillity. Swinging into the left lane is just inviting some sort of conflict on a busy road.
If the road is single lane, and there was space in the first place, the car should already have gone through if it was following at a respectable distance. If I'm a cyclist approaching from behind I'd expect to get side-swiped, and hang back to see what happens in this situation.
If in doubt, assume something really daft is about to happen!

They situation would be they're all just pulling away stationery from the lights which have just turned green.

The car behind the front car should have adjusted position before he came to a halt. The difficulty with that is where the first car stops at the junction and then belatedly indicates. As a cyclist I don't often have big queues at traffic lights and generally take my turn. As somebody who has driven much more than I have cycled I tend to think of myself as traffic. In that situation once the traffic started to move I would expect the second car to swing left.

I do get annoyed though on a cycle lane, where there is a right turn which isn't a junction. There isn't room for two vehicles so when the front car is turning right and waits for a break in the traffic the second car isn't going to get through. So why does it need to pull left into the cycle lane and block my passage?

To be clear, its a single lane, the waiting car wouldn;'t be pulling into another l;ane, just in the space occupied by cyclists (not a cycle lane)

In that video you were showing great awareness of the risk - and what was probably going to happen when the Range Rover looked ahead after overtaking you.

I take primary in those circumstances too, or at least, move a bit further out into the road.
