Paternosters...ever been on one?

The Arts tower one in Sheffield had signs warning about going through the top/bottom of the lift where there seemed to be a difference of opinion about it being dangerous or not (the signs had is/isn't dangerous crossed out and re-written a few times.

Being engineers we sent a teddy round the bottom to check

On the non-uni ones, there used to be a paternoster lift in B548 on Sellafield site. The building no longer exists (replaced recently by a two story portakabin thing).

I find it very hard to believe that anybody would build a lift that would kill curious people! I reckon that would be a rumour spread to intimidate people ...

...probably rumours spread by student flat-mates.
