What a bunch of fookin twats, paid for an item off here, guy made a genuine mistake and missed a letter off his e-mail address, so when I paid them it came back as an unregistered account.

I have now cancelled the transaction and have correct details, Paypal have reversed transaction and have my money, pending investigation.

Contacted the useless fookers, can take up to 28 days to investigate and give me my cash back, WTF,

So I now either need to splash out again for the item or wait 28 days for refund before completing the transaction, which will obviously pee off the seller.

To be fair PayPal do have to look at the transaction to make sure that it isn't a fraudulent one.

I think that you'll find that the matter will be resolved in under 28 days.

Did you email that wrong email address?

Maybe it was them who reversed the reverse.
If its from here and the sellers mistake am sure seller would be happy to wait.

wait until you have to get your account unlocked because it appears to them that it is a business and you have too much money in it. (We sold everything we owned to go off and cycle around the world). They locked my account out with over £2,500 in it at the time holding on to my money as I was expected to part company with the products (it came in over the course of 2 days as a whole series of auctions ended). I was not best pleased. I got lucky though with the person I eventually managed to speak to on the phone - he was a young adventurous lad and I was able to convince him with the aid of our journal that we were about to go off around the world and finally got the money released to me.
Now everytime I have £50 in it, it is transfered back to my bank account straight away. I prefer not to use Paypal if I can avoid it as a result.
best of luck - should take 3-5 days if my experience is anything to go by (had the same recently with them holding onto my cash tranfer back to my bank account for investigation!)

Your seller can speed things up.

The payment will be held in a suspense account until it is claimed. The seller just has to notify paypal of an amount not received and they will match the ID and amount in the suspense account.

I hate Pay Pal but it's a necessary evil of you want to eBay. I never leave money in the account ever, I withdraw it immediately. Then when it come to paying pay pal / eBay fees they have to take from my credit card. Which means they have to pay a percentage.

They are twats, they can make a fortune out of holding funds that dont belong to them, the goverment has stopped the banks delaying transfers between them, for the very same reason.

They know it is the wrong email address and that it is my money, easy solution, GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY

BigTam, have you tried phoning them? I had to once and got my money that were holding returned the same day. It just speeded up the process when they saw a mistake had been made. It was far easier on the phone than waiting for emails to be answered. Hope you get it sorted out quickly.

I am not sure I get this post, you made a mistake and they have to sort it out which they will. What is the problem, sure there is a time lapse but the system seems to work for most people.
