PC guilty of dangerous driving whilst on shift

[edit] I suppose the police could be expected to be a bit more professional though...
Agreed.

The officer had been on his way to an incident in the Old Street area with sirens on and lights flashing at the time of the crash, jurors heard.

Eyewitnesses described seeing his van "taking off" after hitting a humpback bridge, with all four of its wheels leaving the ground before it hit the cyclist.
No incident is that important to justify a collision. Better to arrive a few seconds later than not at all.

Don't you lose your licence for driving at those speeds in a 30 zone anyway??
I'm pleased he was charged, even if you are a police driver, you are not above the law.
