I have lost count of the number of cyclists I have seen riding on pavements, going through red lights and going down one way streets the wrong way in Manchester city centre - but Rick D'alaglio seems to think that it is the other road users that don't adhere to the rules of the road! Is it safe to ride on pavements and jump lights? I think not Mandi , Radcliffe
There's your public.
stowie said:Absolutely. In fact, it worries me how prevalent attitudes like this are with drivers. I speak to my friends and relatives, and they use similar arguments, even though they are intelligent people and are not unfeeling psychopaths.
Clearly, it takes a moron like Mandi to actually publish this thought on a story about a police worker being seriously injured on a cycle.
And I found the repost to Mandi's ranting to be somewhat in bad taste, maybe because I might expect a comment like that could be for real.

Much as I hope they catch the offender, the sensationalist headline doesn't help: two cracked vertabrae may technically amount to a 'broken back', but it gives a highly misleading impression.Jezston said:Cycling is now clearly too dangerous for PSOs so I'd imagine the Police will be getting rid of their entire fleet of police bicycles very soon.

Poor woman, hope she heals up and the the Police service up there realise now that this is the way it is. The CPS will screw them over for any attempt to prosecute.
I hadn't read that as being offensive, perhaps it's a regional thing.downfader said:Went to report the "learn em" comments as I thought it inappropriate.
