Very much at the tootling end of the cycling spectrum.
From the nice mixed bag of folks at Lewisham Cyclists.

Thursday June 23 - Lewisham Peaks
Our annual Bike Week ride to the sky, proving yet again that the best views
of London are from south of the river. Plus one special bonus view.
Inevitably some steep climbs, but one particularly wonderful gliding
descent, and we will wait for everyone. Not a fast ride at all. After all
the exertions we'll retire (well climb - it's at the highest point) to a pub
garden for drinks. Food available at pub but since this is at the end of the
ride, we recommend that you bring snacks.
Total mileage just under 20 miles but this includes the trip up to the pub
and back to Cutty Sark Gardens. The core of the ride including all of the
main views is only about 10 miles. Leader can take folks back to Cutty Sark
Gardens after the pub. Since we will never be far from rail stations,
including several on the East London Line, always possible to drop out
early.
Meet Cutty Sark Gardens Greenwich : 18:30 PROMPT DEPARTURE.
If you want to meet us a bit later, be in the UPPER bit of Telegraph Hill
Park by 18:50. We may be a bit later but won't leave before then. If you're
hoping to meet us there, may be an idea to phone me.
