Just to confirm that it's all on - rain, or the fear of it, doesn't stop play. It's diaried.

Yep, I know the weather is forecast to break but I've checked various
weather sites and there seems to be a consensus that the rain will clear by
evening - and if there's a bit of a drip or a smidgeon of fluffy cloud it
will just give us some interesting skies. A light waterproof will be fine
just in case. And a light fleece or similar might be handy if you come to
the pub atop Crystal Palace.

I reccied it again yesterday - every year it's slightly different.

What will you see? Queen Liz (the first's) possible picnic spot, the site
where up to 100,000 fought against the golfing blight, an ancient stone
circle, lots of good views, one special one.

If you thought London was green, think again - it's far greener than you
ever thought.

Well it happened.

The short report - 15 of us, lots of new folk, dramatic skies but not a drop of rain, everyone enjoyed it, half or more of us went to the pub afterwards - usual thanks by all to the dodo guardians.

Two extracts from unsolicited emails from two of the new participants.

"Thanks for leading a great ride; esp in the theatrical weather conditions"

"I just want to record my thanks for this ride. Great route, great views, excellent company"

Full report and lots of other sociable rides with the motley crew that is south east London cyclists.

To next year.
