I've been trying to turn up the tempo with my riding this week in terms of speed and mileage. Everything seems to be going OK apart from one wierd problem. I have a constant ache in my pectoral region, it feels much the same as when you over do benchpresses in the gym. Oddly I havn't done any free weights this week so can only assume its from the bike. Is this normal or possibly a sign of a bad bike position etc as I havn't found anything on the net about it.
Cheers,
Chris.

It seems to me it could be that your exerting inward pressure on the handlebars, are you climbing hills aggressively? And while pulling on the bars your also pushing inwards, imagine a pec deck movement, but without the movement,as if your trying to squeeze the handle bars together? It could be this causeing the workout feel? You will need to think when you pull on the bars to stop yourself doing the squeeze, this might be your problem?
