Do you want a cycling shoe that you can walk in, if so then the best Shimano SPD model is your best bet, if you don't care about walking then the best look ones would be my choice.

i dont need to walk in them, ill get the bike out of the shed in slippers wheel round to front door walkup steep drive hop on and then get off at the cycle club if thats where im goin stand in probs the one place then hop back on my bike to do the ride and it would be the same at the other end.

I use and like SPD-SL (Ultegra level on my bike).

The pedals were 2nd hand, and stupidly cheap because they'd been scuffed a bit.

YoungUn, these 105 SPD-SL pedals are well reviewed - £10 less than the Ultegra, and only 15g heavier...

is the only difference between the ultegras and the 105's the weight then?

weight doesnt really mater to me because i dont race at the moment

There doesn't seem to be any visual differences between the 105 and Ultegra SPD SL pedals, unusual that, Ultegra level kit usually looks a lot better than 105.
