Like to thank Pennine for making such a beautiful frame (in 1957 or 58 I reckon) and Ellis Briggs for making it beautiful again (just now). Looking forward to some long summer rides!

They are reasonably close to where I live. They offered all the services I needed in a one-stop shop. Their work is beautiful (as seen in photos on the internet initially, confirmed by close inspection in the shop).

It used to have a sticker on for Gerry Shields Cycles (long established cycle shop and Pennine dealer in Failsworth, Manchester). The guy who sold it to me said it had been Gerry's own bike at one stage. Certainly it has all kinds of different components but they work together really well.
