I remember in the early eighties (approx '81) when my father was unemployed for a long time, finding 3 bits of paper in the street. I took them home and showed my mum, who was over the moon and rewarded all us kids with a 10p mix each from the newsagents. I believe I had found 3 £1 notes, but had never seen paper money at that point. I'd have been about 8.

I was chuffed to bits to find a bar of this in Clapham Junction station a couple of years ago for not much money, 30p maybe? It ended up costing me £65 to have my filling replaced.
