Used to get different flavoured penny daintys IIRC.. Banana, raspberry(?), and chocolate, as well as the normal toffee.
Anyone remember Aztec Bars? Bit like a Mars bar without the toffee. Oh and Texan bars, another filling extractor.
I love visiting the Moffat Toffee shop in - strangely enough - Moffat High Street. I spent 5 years at school in Moffat, but the less said about that the better. Always liked the town though, especially the toffee shop which has loads of sweets you never see anywhere else .

I loved Spangles but had to save up for them.

They used to dissolve in the middle, really quick, you could cut your tongue on the hole if not careful, but I couldn't resist sticking my tongue in and out of the hole..........another lamented loss are Glees, I've never eaten many sweets but I loved those, like Skittles but so much tastier.

I used to love the UFO that were like eating cardboard , also in them days you you could also buy individual cigarettes in a bag , supposedly for your parents but they didn't always get home.

I have never heard of Glees so I have been and googled them. I don't remember the packaging either so I reckon that they must have been about when we were living abroad.
I miss Texan bars (it was only a matter of time until somebody mentioned the mighty Texan bar of gorgeousness)
