I used to have ritchey parts. Then I got some padded shorts and a tub of chamois cream...

Caps is counted as shouting.

For what it's worth, I've got a Ritchie stem on my singlespeed and it does its job ok. I have had seat posts fail in the past though.

I'm just reading a book about the post-genocide rise of cycling in Rwanda which was kick-started by the good man that is Tom Ritchey. A bit of a god botherer but none the worse for that.
Carry on!

Oooooh shiney? sorry I am no help at all, are they shiney? I expect it is nice it has "pro" in the title. On the upside I now know what a stem is.

I just googled... did you pay nearer £50 or near £40 for it?

It reduces stress so you will be very much happier

I've got the Pro stem and the WCS bars, both in alloy. Very light and very strong. The WCS bars were noticeably stiffer than the Comp bars and much lighter. WCS alloy parts are a little lighter than Pro, but very close to the carbon parts.

It's good stuff.

I bought a Ritchey stem to fasten the handlebars onto the headset of my BSO instead of the heavy adjustable stem which came with it originally. So far it has done a good job of holding the bars in place and still looks new even though it has been out in all weathers.

Is the Dr Maibalsar Ritchey joke still going round, though ?

I've had WCS finishing kit on my last couple of bikes and I have a full quota of WCS bars, stem and seatpost on my CAAD as well.

I like them because they're shiny in wet black, they make my bike look better, and as everyone knows that means it must also now go faster as well :becool:

Ritchey bar, stem, seatpost and wheels on my Boardman and the only problem with any of them has been the usual bearing replacements in the back wheel which I would have expected anyway.
