Money is no object, you can get the time off work and the wife loves the idea. What's everyones perfect holiday for this summer?

Mine would have to be a month in New Zealand and Australia. Rugby heaven with beautiful scenery. Might just not come home again.

I've got 3 I would love to do

3 weeks seeing China and Japan

3 weeks touring India

3 weeks in South America (Argentina and the likes)

ride around south america

ride from istanbul-somewhere in burma

ride from moston-moscow

followed by 2 weeks somewhere in greece by the pool.

2 weeks camping and climbing in Scotland in May without the midges.

Eygpt - 3 weeks on a well-stocked felluca from Cairo to Abu Simbel, stopping to visit every sight on offer on the way south.

Just me, the missus and some great Egyptian hospitality...

Do the northern half of Offa's Dyke.
Cycle tour around bits of Herefordshire.
Maybe have a few weeks in Thailand with my sister.

Maybe it's because I lived abroad when I was young, but I have very little desire to go abroad now. There's plenty to explore in the UK.

+1 I was talking to someone on Saturday who'd been walking there and it sounded amazing.

The Chilean lake district is on my list although I don't know if I fancy the rough roads.
3 weeks on the bikes from Provence to N Spain is on the cards but ideally I'd do NZ.

We as a family are doing Coast to Coast Canada .The wife's retirement gift to us all .
