Just back from 23 miles on the Sherwood and it's a hoot to ride for sure . It trundles along nicely and even climbs as well as the engine can .
Very precise and positive on the road and didn't notice any head shaking when descending quickly.

One of my bug bears is unmatched wheels so does the Phil Sherwood road bike look better with the Reynolds wheels on or not

Well the Reynolds wheels certainly don't detract from the way it rides.
Managed to remove the one stubborn bottle cage retaining bolt .

I like the Reynolds wheels.

I prefer the skinny rims. But it depends on condition of the rims and how they ride. Up to you.

The older conventional rims are fine just not a matching set , and I do like a matching set .

Half hour tonight and the other two bottle cage bolts surrendered so new bolts fitted all nicely greased new bolts securing the black cage .

Bit gutted the other day when getting another bike out i caught the front mudguard of my https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/tonard-of-croydon.301414/ and this happened 😡

So tonight as the Tonard is my current designated wet weather bike I removed the front guard from another bike and fitted that one on and all is good in the world.
