Private number plates are for C11NTS
That reminds me of a poster I used to have on my wall as a teenager - it was for a film with Clint Eastwood as the lead (can't even remember what film it was for now though!) but in the half light of my room after turning the light out, his name in bold capital letters always amused me as it looked so much like a rather rude word...:ohmy:

In this neck of the woods, Chelsea tractors have found a breeding ground, often driven by yummy mummies who can't park them. On top of this they have this number plate which is trying to say something, usually by adding a black screw head on to another letter. What's all that about? Police could make a fortune in fines, [if there were any] not to mention the ones in italics etc.
I quite like it as it's easier to remember the t..t who came too close.....and I do remember

Not jealous at all then? Noooooo

I'm thinking of changing my name by deed poll to M240 YWX.

Nice. But not as nice as WNO 534 L.

(Why is it I can only remember the numberplate of my first car? All subsequent ones, I forget. )

If FN44R comes up for sale, can someone let me know? Then I can spend my wad on it.
I will admit that I sneaked a peek and have seen that S114 RKY is available... but it would cost me £11,795 so I think I'll give it a miss, and given that I don't actually drive that much anyway so my Wife wouldn't be overly proud to have it on the car.:biggrin:

I often wonder how so many of the little unemployed chavvy gits driving their tarted-up boy racers can afford personalised plates.

Remember when private plates were exclusive to the wealthy?

(I've seen an illegal one on a parked car every day for about 6 months whilst on my commute (D3OBO), which has suddenly reverted to a normal reg number in the last week. Either sold it to make a mint, or changed plates to disguise the car after doing something naughty? )

When I was a primary school, someone in the street outside it owed a little Mini which had a reg that was GOO 324Y (the last 4 are a guess, as I can't remember them - but the GOO was there).

Thought that would be a great car for me when I was older (didn't understand that you could buy the plates in those days).

Yet I grew up, passed my test and drove my Dad's car but never ended up buying one after I left home. Funny that!

I can remember our last two, but none of the 3 plates before that.

I subscribe to yello's view, personally, on personalised plates - no opinion either way on the wisdom of investing in them/having them on cars - it's not for me.

Did have a stupidly close pass from one today, but as I've been moaning all week, it seems to be the season for it at the moment, and in that, Mr. P Plate wasn't overly different to the other impatient gits.

I have a personalised number plate. :biggrin::blush::biggrin::biggrin:

Saw the car on the fore-court and it had my name on it - literally. It includes a short version of my first name and my initials. I must add that I chose the car before seeing the number plate.
