So had my first complete a-hole today, i've seen bad drivers, i've seen inconsiderate drivers but today was my first complete and utter [deleted expletive] (rhymes with cat)

Approaching my favourite roundabout, barely a road mile from my house, i'm in primary when idiot in a red citreon decided to try and overtake, i'm waving her back. she sticks two fingers up and carries on with her overtake at this point we're 30 yards from the roundabout and i'm braking and swerving left to avoid her and shouting at her asking what does she think she's doing? she then proceeds to turn left, no indication i might add.
now in a classic dick move she rolls down her window and shouts in a mocking tone "Calm down dear"
i was so infuriated i almost fell off my bloody bike in the middle of the roundabout (i was going on btw)
thing is i was so angry i totally failed to get her licence plate didn't even enter my mind. i need a cam badly cause if someone does that to me again i want to report it to the local fuzz and i can't trust myself to pay attention.
what really gets me now is that i was fuming all the way to work in this lovely sunny weather with loads of considerate drivers and i totally failed to appreciate it...

needed to vent.

Yes, at least with a camera you could have replied "smile for the camera" whilst pointing at it.

This forum is good for venting. You just have to rise above it, I know it's hard but forget about it and enjoy the weather.

On my way home last night 4 or 5 bikes were filtering in heavy traffic, As we passed through the blocked junction I could hear a driver with his window down shouting "F***ing run 'em over" . A couple of us just looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders and rode on past the cars.

It's easy to think of retorts after the event, but you might have asked her whether her husband knows she drives like that ? Glad you are unhurt - perhaps you will see her again sometime....

It does seem to be the sun. Had a couple of idiots on my commute home yesterday for the first time in ages.

Maybe they only let them out when the sun shines?

I have made an effort to point out my camera on my head when incidents like this (though not recently) occurred.

And that would encourage me to 'perform' for the camera.

I really don't know how so many people can place so much faith in the ability of a device, hidden from view unless seen from the front can:

Make motorists approaching from the rear alter their behaviour
Make motorist approaching from the side moderate their behaviour
Make the bearer of the camera appear as rider who does not wrong and follower of all of the Highway Code rules
Make people moderate their their behaviour if they spot the camera
See the camera as an educational tool
Make the bearer appear 'holier than thou'

I'd rather spend the money on something that makes me drunk.
