Just been loafing in my local park people watching, when a woman strolls past accompanied by the teeniest chihuahua you ever saw scampering along beside her.
I've seen them before on numerous occasions.
She calls it to heel:
"Come along Zorro."

It must be the Park of Zorro.

A previous cat was a rescue, found in a ladies clothing shop sleeping in a box of dresses - he earned the name Dandy.

My grandparents named one of their dogs Trampus after a cowboy in the TV show The Virginian.
We named a dog Tristan from All Creatures Great and Small.

Walking in a park years ago and a bloke was calling 'Roger, Roger, come here.' I wondered WTF he was calling and then saw a labrador trotting towards him.

Roger! For a dog!!

A dog called Bucket and a cat called Shovel... different owners, neither mine but both friends.

There was also two kittens collectively known as 'the lads'. They didn't have names of their own, but if seen alone they'd be referred to as 'the lad'

They didn't keep them for long.
