My mum was a huge fan so I was brought up listening to their music in the 60's and 70's and came to love it for myself.
Very sad.

A sad day. I learned a couple of Everly songs when I took up the guitar, back when dinosaurs still walked the earth. They still get played from time to time.

I saw them at their reunion tour at the Hammersmith Apollo . Bloody amazing harmonies and will always stick in my mind as the sweetest voices I have ever heard .

Maybe he will meet his ebony eyes.
That should have been the B side to walk right back.

I was watching BBC news last night/this morning and had the subtitles on. Did they mess it up?? Of course they did!!

Apparently Phil from 'The Elderly Brothers' had died.

They very quickly corrected it, but it still made me smile.

I only had them on lp, all long gone. I need to visit Amazon.

The 2 DP mentions up thread are essential, if you want one with some 50s classics this Bear Family disc is superb, pin sharp sound, bit pricier but great remastering and excellent booklet.
