Just been given this little rustalitious thing , been sat outside in all weather's for ages , single speed with a interesting band brake on the back, others would be annoyed to be given it , I think it's brill.
Pumped up the tyres , oiled the chain and rode it round the village.

Would make a good bike to lock up in town when on errands, without fear of the light-fingered.
Only snag might be the authorities taking it away, thinking it was abandoned

Yeh , I'm thinking of making it mechanicaly spot on but keeping the rust , the head badge is nice it's the only thing that's not rusty.

Saved many a bike in similar conditions over the years who cares about patina .

It's a great feeling to complete the first ride unscathed after a re inflation of tyres and lubricating the chain.

Some people will never experience it.

So enjoy it

Always an interesting challenge that first try out and the worse the bike looks the better.
There was a thread on here I think it was and someone bought a delapidated old bike many miles away and caught the train to ride it back and it made an epic story , I must try that some day 😁.
