As long as I breathe, I attack.
I promote GiffGaff wherever I can for sim only. They are great unless you need to use tethering or 4G (although that is coming very soon).
Im with giff gaff too and tbh even though the phone i have is "entry " dumb smartphone its has more features than i need , £10 credit will last me maybe 4 months .

Having worked for one of those mobile providers i was shocked at the revenue providers pay to third party stores. Makes you wonder where all this extra cash will now go. Given the company i used to work for has half empty buildings with low pay for staff i hope it gets reinvested in better training/pay and more staff. Or you know another jet for the top peeps...

It still amazes me that people get 'charged' for text messages without unlimited bundles. I'm sure this might be challenged but given my previous role i can confirm during the 8 years i worked there text messaging cost the company nothing. The rate of revenue from line rental customers covers all costs of maintaining the network, texts cost nothing so charging for them is 100% profit. Even with apps, 21 billion text are sent a year these days. That's a none to shabby private jet.

Giffgaff is useless if you have any issues though. I couldn't get texts or data to work and I got spammed on the forum with people telling me to do the same thing and then telling me I couldn't be doing it right when it didn't work. I was signed up for 5 days before I then moved again to 3. Now I'm Paying 10.90pm for 200 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited data on a month to month sim only contract and buying my phone outright as and when required.

Yes, they were all set correctly. I was then told by numerous people I must have done it wrong, over and over again.
