That's the one. A lot of them had been there since the morning (snow started at 6.30am) and were there all night. Poor guys, I felt a bit of a tit taking pics of them to be honest!

Well done for a nice shot!

Slightly off topic and worth noting for the future - if BBC respect and think your photo is good enough to be published you should charge them for it-assuming you didn't do so already. I reckon that kind of internet usage should be £25- £50- perhaps a bit more. It's not about being greedy and here's the explanation:

The reason I say this is because what has happened for the photographic industry especially photojournalism is that lots of people in the public submit things for free and are chuffed it got into a mag/paper/on the net for free - what happens is that this then stops professional photographers being paid for their work as they(clients like BBC etc) are then expecting to get everything for free- in an industry that is pretty difficult to survive in already.

Just to highlight it - a mate of mine who is a photojournalist got offered a fiver for his work to appear in broadsheet paper and this was a whole days worth of work to get the right picture -he is an established photographer not a new starter. He turned it down as it was taking the piss. How many photos would he have to take to survive and pay for his rent, considering that freelance photographers don't work consistently throughout the year.

Sorry to go off topic mate and I think fantastic photo and I don't want to take anything away from that - but BBC aren't doing you favours- they're getting work for free to use which has a detrimental effect on pro photographers. Just suppose this is a topic that is dear to me as trying to get photography up and running on a pro level myself so thought I'd mention it.
