Vern, that's impossible since the aggressor's planes re-fuel from refuelling planes within the range of the aggressor's attack planes which have the same range as the defender's planes...

One thing's always puzzled me about refuelling planes... why don't the 'opposition' just shoot them down?

Possible because they refuel out of range of the enemy?

Or perhaps, more readily because one group of fighters attacking another group of fighters all loitering around waiting to refuel would be a pointless waste of resource? Espeically as in this information warfare digital age, any force capable of staging airbourne refuelling operations would also be staging air battle space control, and the chances of anyone getting within 100 miles of the fuelling circuit without detection are zero. The Battle of Britain days of "dropping out of the sun, tally-ho!" finished, well, before the end of the Battle of Britian.

There are far, far more valuable assets for anyone to throw their nice shiny fast jets at.

I've seen three minis getting into an artic, at a festival at Silverstone.

Watched the Italian Job again only a couple of weeks ago. Brilliant! Trouble is, it always leaves me longing to own a Mini again.
